Jewellery haul.

Today I visited my Auntie and spent a few hours with her and her adorable dog, Fergus. Every time I see her she seems to have envelopes full of amazing jewellery for me that she doesn’t want anymore, and today was no exception. I think she just buys beautiful pieces but can’t find the time to wear them all and so gives them to family members. As you can imagine, it’s the perfect situation for me to be in! In total she gave me 6 rings, 2 broaches, 9 pairs of earrings, 4 necklaces, and a watch. Some of them were new and others she'd had for years.

Here are some of my favourites:

Silver above the nuckle nail ring with cut put pattern.

Gold pin broach flower with pearls.

Large jewel earrings in silver casing
.

Silver watch with pearl face and roman numerals.

I also got some gorgeous necklaces, but couldn't put the pictures up as they really didn't do them justice. I spent the whole afternoon cleaning the jewellery with a toothbrush, now that's dedication!

A girl can only dream...

If I had all the money in the world I’d happily buy a wardrobe full of designer gear, and top it up daily. Unfortunately I’m not rich, and am in fact on a teenage budget. In other words, I can only afford to buy clothes that are available on the British high-street, and sometimes even that’s a stretch!  Never the less, a girl can only dream.  Trust me I do dream. A lot. So that’s what these posts are going to be about: all of the clothes and accessories that I love, but heartbreakingly will never have. The plan is that I’ll put post like these up quite regularly as a way of venting my day dream addiction to designer labels. Let’s begin.

Gold pleated Gucci skirt.

Jeffrey Campbell Cat print lita boots

A-morir floral sunglasses.

I would walk 1000 miles.

I’m in a state of pure happiness. Today I got possibly some of the most beautiful shoes in the world, and that is no exaggeration. You may remember me posting about going window shopping and finding these beauties in River Island. Well, I finally got them – my zebra print flatform sandals. I’ve been talking about flatforms for so long, I’ve probably bored my friends to death! You see, I’m not really a creeper girl. I’ve got nothing against people wearing them and I think on some people they look brilliant, they’re just not really my sort of thing. Flatforms though, are a whole different story, with a much happier ending. I just love them, especially these ones.

They were £40, which is more than I would usually be willing to pay for shoes since I hardly ever have money, but they are so perfect. I had the hard decision of which ones to buy, these or the solid black pair. Both are lovely, but I decided on these in the end because they just seemed to look better on. The black pair looks quite heavy plus the zebra print is so different to any other flatforms I’ve seen. I also adore the stud detail around the sole of the shoe in gold.
I was looking through my wardrobe to see what they’ll go with, and the answer is everything. Well, pretty much. They’ll work so well to roughen up a cutesy midi or maxi skirt, like my pleated white one (pictured here). Obviously they’ll also go with plain or coloured denim shorts and jeans perfectly or with a leather skirt of mine for a more rough edge.

In the past week I’ve gained two pairs of gorgeous sandals, what a lucky girl! I’m likely to put up some outfit posts about these beauties, so stay tuned.

Rihanna does it again.

Okay so we all know that I have an obsession with Rihanna’s style, but I just have to show you all one of the gorgeous outfits she wore whilst in St Tropez recently.

Perfect, no? From her gold sandals right up to the lion-esque locks, her and the weather are hot together. Firstly let’s start with the bag. Prada! Not only Prada, but a very pale pink, woven madras tote with subtle gold detailing by Prada.  If I had the same sort of money that she has, I would be sure to add this to my bag collection, which would be huge by the way.  Then the skirt, possibly my favourite part of the whole outfit. There’s something about partially sheer skirts this summer that has me going crazy. I can’t help but wonder if a better beach cover-up actually exists?  She gets away with the super short underskirt/shorts as only rihanna can, plus the white works so well against her skin tone.
It’s not like it's the first time she’s been seen looking fantastic in a crochet style skirt either:

Anyway, back to the first outfit. The multi coloured strapless bikini top brings real edge to the look. It takes a primarily cutesy ensemble (I mean pale pink bag and white crochet skirt - adorable) and makes it more RiRi. The gold arm cuff and hoop earrings also give it that Rihanna touch that I adore. Just add statement rings, pale pink talons and a delicate gold body chain for perfection.

River Island have it in the bag.

You know that heart breaking moment when you find something in a shop, fall in love, and then realise that you don’t have enough money to get it? The amount of times I face that kind of heart ache is crazy. The most recent of the many times this has happened was due to one of the best bags I’ve ever seen from River Island. At £40 though, and me being on a teenage budget, it’s pretty impossible for me to get my hands on it. Still, there’s no harm in dreaming.  It’s a patch work tote, with a mix of  fabrics including leopard print, paisley, and tartan. It doesn’t sound too great, but trust me, in this case pattern clashing really works. Plus it’s pretty big (37cm by 31cm) meaning that it’s the perfect bag for girls like me who pack for every eventuality. Also, it has three roomy sections, two of which can be buttoned up. It’s not like it’s a one season wonder either, it could carry me (and all of my daily essentials) right through autumn/winter and beyond. Oversized bags are the way forward this coming autumn, so it truly is just perfect. I usually focus on clothes, so for me to be so caught up on a bag is huge. I’m hoping that by the time I’ve saved up the money I need, it won’t have left the shops. My fingers, toes, legs, arms and lips (if that’s even possible) will be crossed!
