Trend predictions for 2013

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, delving further into 2013, one can only be amazed at the amount of fashion opportunities that the rest of this year holds. Luckily for us, with the aid of fashion shows that give us collections two seasons in advance, if your interested fashion and have a good eye, it's possible to predict some trends that are going to big within the next year.

Over the past few weeks I've spent a lot of time looking at catwalk pictures, and have consequently been able to create an idea of what I think are going to be some of the big trends of 2013, particularly in Spring/Summer. Today I set about getting my mental trend bank into a post. This could go one of two ways. Firstly, it could act as proof that I predicted a trend correctly if a type of clothing that's mentioned bellow becomes popular. However, it could also mean that I'm proven utterly incorrect, and there will be evidence of it. Let's just hope it's not the latter!

Here are my trend predictions for 2013:
Wedgwood inspired patterns:

Slogan tops :

Checker board print:

All over whites:

Slouchy tailoring:

Which of these would you like to become trends through 2013?

Thanks for reading,

  1. Great post! The wedgewood print is definitely going to be a hit - Primark's S/S '13 has a few inspired pieces in it :)
Yay for a fellow Kent person too - where abouts in Kent if you don't mind me asking?
    Happy New Year :)
