Postcard prints.

One more exam left! Tomorrow I sit my physics GCSE and after that all of my external exams are completely over for this year. Man, that feels good to say. I’ve revised like crazy, so fingers crossed all goes well. Anyway, with the end of the most important academic part of this year, so begins the count down to the summer holidays here in England. The release from school uniform for six whole weeks. As you can imagine this prospect is a rather exciting one for a fashion obsessive like myself. One trend that’s got me even more hyped about summer is postcard prints. I’m in love.

How could you resist these beauties?

Pack it in! My love of backpacks.

Not so long ago, or so it seems, I was that little year seven with the massive backpack. I wasn’t exactly a fashionista in those days, I’ll be honest. It was ill fitting jeans (hola ankle swingers) and smiley face t-shirts, all tied together with some rather hideous bright pink pumps. But I was doing something right. I know, it sounds impossible but it was all in the backpack. Okay, so I wasn’t exactly rocking the same sort of bags that I love now, but at least I was part way there.

Last Christmas I got given a backpack, and my oh my, that’s where it all began. It’s a vintage beauty firstly, and you all know that I have a huge obsession with that sort of thing. If you don’t know about it, read some more of my posts, you’ll soon catch on! Secondly it’s a carpet bag with leather pockets and straps, so perfect. Thirdly, I can quite literally fit everything inside it. Honestly, I’m talking kitchen sink.

Here it is…

In case you wondered, it was bought at ASOS market place online. You should check it out if you haven’t already my lovelies.
So yes, after that my love of backpacks has only grown. I would happily spend all of my money on them, well almost!

Exam time blues and a blazer in blue.

Apologies for the lack of posts I’ve made in the recent weeks, and in advance for the fact that I won’t be making many in the coming week or so either. I’m currently a few days away from sitting a few of my GCSE exams (save me now), and so have been, and will be, revising like crazy! When I haven’t been revising I’ve been cramming in spending time with my boy, friends, and family. I’ve still been thinking about fashion almost constantly of course, not very helpful whilst attempting to learn the molecular structure of hydrogen, but I simply haven’t had the time to post at all. It’s honestly so frustrating knowing that I could be immersing myself in clothes whilst I’m having to focus on the mathematics behind surds…don’t even get me started on surds okay? I will start crying.

Anyway, back to the clothes. Mary-Kate Olsen in one of the most beautiful outfit I’ve seen in sometime.

It’s so stunning. Pretty please can one of you lovelies buy me a blue oversized blazer like this one? No? It was worth a try. Everything about her look is perfect. From the blazer to the block heels, I adore it all. I can’t help but wonder whether she thought about the connection between her bracelets and snake skin bag? I hope so. That’s fashion dedication for you if she did. I’m so very glad that she chose to wear the black mini, I’m over the whole blazer with nothing underneath thing. Even if it is barely there, the dress saves the outfit from becoming trashy. I love the jewellery pile up, wearing the same bracelet on both wrists is inspired. The simple chain necklace is such a stark yet beautiful contrast to the chunky bracelets and numerous rings. Another thing I noticed, and can’t quite tell if was intentional, is the almost exact colour match of her eyes and the blazer. Whether this is simply a happy coincidence or well executed plan, she makes it seem effortless. The tousled hair says it all really.

Bravo.
