It's classically trendy for A/W 2012 (part 2)

This post is the second part of my autumn/winter 2012 preparation list. As I explained my last post when purchasing my autumn wardrobe I try to get a good mix of both classic and trendy pieces, and this is my comparison of the two. I don’t think I can explain much more since I did most of that yesterday so I’ll jump straight in.

The classic:

The trend:

Miss selfridge

Grey trousers go with everything, and that’s a fact. I especially love them because if you buy a pair in a cigarette style they work really well with boots, keeping toes toasty.

Topshop
I don’t think I could get through winter without my trusty knit jumper. It’s a throw on piece that never fails. Plus I adore the zip detailing on this Topshop beauty.

River Island

There’s no skirt like a leather pencil skirt. It’s elegance and lady like luxury mixed with the rough punk look that the leather provides. It’s simple but oh so effective.

Topshop

For a more trendy twist on the cigarette pant I think that these tapestry trousers are perfect. They are so luxurious and I would love to rock them with an embellished top and shoes to go for full on baroque glamour.

Topshop
I love Henry Holland, so the idea of having a winter knit with a dog tooth print much like in his A/W collection seriously temps me. It really is the pattern to wear, so this jumper is perfect.

To nail the leather trend for A/W 2012 opt for a different, non neutral colour in either inky blues or deep reds. This Topshop skirt is very Alexander wang, and I love the more relaxed feel given by the elasticated waist.

What do you all think of autumn/winter trends this year, what's your favourite?

Thanks for reading guys,
